The default copy-paste behavior has a major flaw: as soon as you copy something new, the previous item is gone forever. Windows has a built-in feature to fix this.

The Magic Shortcut

Instead of pressing Ctrl + V to paste, press Windows Key + V.

The first time you do this, Windows will ask you to 'Turn on' the Clipboard History. Click that button.

How to Use It

1

Copy text or images as usual (Ctrl + C). do this multiple times for different items.

2

When you are ready to paste, press Win + V.

3

A menu appears showing your last 25 copied items.

4

Click the one you want to paste.

Bonus: You can click the 'Pin' icon on specific items to keep them in your history even after you restart your computer!
